Orgiva sits in the Alpujarra Valley, a notch north of where the mountains begin to roll into the Alboran Sea. From a distance, it looks like a quaint, picturesque town. The most prominent structure is a double steepled Baroque cathedral with twin crosses, which tower above the barrel-tiled roofs of stuccoed apartments.
